Sunshine Village is located on the North Eastern By-Pass/Hwy 231, near the intersection with Atlanta Highway. Excellent Mexican, Chinese, Thai and seafood restaurants are within walking distance or a short ride from home, along with shopping centers like Wal-Mart and Eastdale Mall. Grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare facilities and the Probate East office (for manufactured home and vehicle registration needs) are also within easy reach. Places of worship are no more than a mile or two away.

One mile away, the City of Montgomery’s Lagoon Park provides fire rescue services and offers walking trails, golf courses, softball fields, batting cages, tennis courts, picnic areas, playgrounds and shelter rentals to the public, providing fun and exercise for the entire family.

Our community is just across the street from a Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) bus stop. For longer-distance commuters, I-85 is three miles away, and I-65 is 10 miles away. Our Hwy 231 location is also on Montgomery’s most convenient route to Wetumpka (13 miles to the north) and to Troy (47 miles to the south).

Sunshine Village is zoned for Dalraida Elementary, Goodwyn Middle and Robert E. Lee High schools. The school bus picks up and drops off junior high and high school students near the centrally-located Sunshine Village office. To address safety concerns, the bus also circles the community’s perimeter to pick up and drop off elementary school students closer to their homes.
